David has been an economic and market strategist for more than thirty years, both on the sell side and buy side of the business and on Bay Street in Toronto as well as on Wall Street. For the past ten years, he was the chief economist and strategist at Gluskin Sheff, a Toronto-based wealth management firm and prior to that, he was chief North American economist at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch from 2002 to 2009. During that time, he was consistently ranked in the Institutional Investor All-Star analyst rankings for economics. Prior to his move to New York in 2009, David was chief economist and strategist for Merrill Lynch Canada, based out of Toronto, where he led his team to number-one status for eight consecutive years in the Brendan Woods survey of portfolio managers and CIO's.

 

David is also the author of Breakfast with Dave, a daily distillation of his economic and financial market insights and forecasts, a report he has published under various titles since 1998 with a strong global following and will remain the centerpiece of the suite of products he is now offering in his new venture.
