Please post requests here for topics for Aaron and me to discuss after our featured guest interview.

We also welcome feedback on how you like this format vs. the previous one where Aaron asked me questions about the content of the guest interview.

All the best,
Erik

I would love to hear a short discussion on Gold vs. other currencies and what signals investors can take away from this.

When I look at Gold vs the Canadian Dollar it is currently sitting at ~1746$. This is ~100$ from its all time high set in the fall of 2011 at 1842$. The story repeats itself across most other major currencies. However, when gold is discussed in the media, financial articles, news letters or podcasts it is always discussed in USD terms for obvious reasons.

I think looking at gold from the non US dollar perspective can add some value to the gold story and would love to hear more discussion on this topic.

Thanks.

I would be interested in hearing about the effects of changes in initial margin requirements for derivatives and the upcoming changes to money market funds and their effects on liquidity in the markets. Your recent guests Richard Duncan and Snyder make excellent points about the importance of liquidity and credit growth and I wonder if we will not see dramatic effects of shrinking liquidity due to regulatory changes. Libor and TED spreads seem to be suggesting more to come......

It would be nice to know more about global equities that are impacted by oil and how their valuations will be effected by the oil decline often talked about. Russian equities in particular are vulnerable but also other places like Nigeria. Also will that be the end of Venezuela?

The Uranium sector is dirt cheap from where I stand so it would be nice to hear more information about that sector. For disclosure I own 53 shares of URA.

Thank you guys. Love your podcast.

Hey guys,
What about international investing and the complications of gold/oil pricing. As it effect other countries economic success and/or political stability?
Many Thanks,

Really impressed by the podcasts. Thanks to all involved.

Chris Martenson would be an interesting guest I think. A chat with him would broaden the focus of what has been considered so far from markets to the larger context of the economic system markets exist in.

I would also like to hear a bit a more about the uranium side of things. I looked at the ETFs available, and saw that there are basically one--and it is relatively small and unloved. Would like to hear thoughts about bonds vs. stocks in this kind of situation--often the bonds of these guys are pretty beaten down, and can end up with healthy yields even if the market doesn't rebound in the near term.

Interviewee suggestions:

1. +1 to a previous commenter regarding Chris Martenson over there at Peak Prosperity. He's savvy, big pictured and can speak to the sustainabie-growth (finite resources) argument;
2. GMO's Jeremy Grantham. Probably a tough get — he's not terribly media-friendly — but if you guys could swing it, wow, fantastic. He's also a must-get guest at RVT, which has yet to happen. He *does* give interviews, so this isn't impossible, but he hasn't for at least eight or nine months that I can gather.
3. How about Gillian Tett or Martin Wolff at the Financial Times. Always good to hear from journalists who are up close to the action.
4. James Grant
5. Larry Summers
6. Paul Krugman
7. Michael Hudson
8. And, for an obscure-but-super-eloquent guest, may I recommend Danielle Park. She is a HNW financial advisor based in Barrie, Ont., Canada, who appears regularly on media and is extremely bearish and a great believer that these markets are going to mean-revert presently, which is when she'll go from cash back into equities at a deep discount. She blogs at jugglingdynamite.com. Google her and you'll get the idea.
