Overall:

MacroVoices feature interviews are by invitation only. We do not offer “pay to play” deals and we impose a firm “Chinese Wall” that prohibits advertisers from having their representatives featured as interview guests on MacroVoices. There is no way to buy an interview slot on MacroVoices, so please don’t ask.

We welcome listener requests for guests they want to hear on the program, and those requests should be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If you want to propose yourself as a guest, we don’t object to that, provided that you clearly disclose that the request is coming from the prospective guest or their friends/family/staff.

Professional Publicists:

We receive about a half dozen guest pitches from professional publicists every single day. So far, after 7 years and more than 350 episodes, we have yet to respond favorably to a single guest pitch from a hired publicist. We would hope that this information alone would be enough to persuade you that you’re wasting your time and ours by sending us a pitch, but we also know from experience that this won’t stop you from doing so. Accordingly, we request you observe the following guidelines:

  1. You may send us ONE email (to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for each guest name you wish to propose along with their relevant bio/pitch information. We read every email and will reply to you promptly if we have any interest in the guest you propose.
  2. If we don’t respond, that means we are not interested in that guest and do not want to be solicited again about the same guest. Please do not send repeated emails about the same guest. And please take note that following up and circling back are things one does with someone they actually have a relationship with. No response means we’re not interested, and sending “follow-ups” will eliminate any possibility of your client ever appearing on MacroVoices.
  3. If you disrespect rule #2 above, both the guest you pitched and any other guest represented by your PR firm in the future will be permanently banned from appearing on MacroVoices, no matter who they are or how great of a guest they might have been had you not ruined it for them by pissing us off with your “persistence”.

In case of repeated “follow-ups” or messages to “make sure” that we received your pitch, we may respond with sanctions in the form of first contacting your client directly to inform them that your actions caused them to be permanently banned from MacroVoices. If that still doesn’t shut you up, we’ll begin humiliating you and/or your PR firm on social media to make it clear to everyone that being represented by you guarantees no appearance on MacroVoices ever.

We appreciate that you feel you provide an important and valuable service as a professional publicist. As you’ve probably gathered by now, we don’t share that view. Please save both of us some aggravation by not wasting our time or yours with repeated pitches. One pitch email per guest, and no more please.
