Carly Anderson, PhD is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Timescale Ventures, an early stage venture firm that backs founders transforming critical industries on a faster timescale. Timescale partners with pre-seed and seed stage software and hardware companies leveraging emerging technologies and AI to make industries more efficient, durable, and profitable.


Before starting Timescale, Carly was an investor with deep tech venture firm Prime Movers Lab and SF-based climate tech firm Prelude Ventures. She was the first engineer at advanced materials startup Mosaic Materials, which was acquired by Baker-Hughes. Dr. Anderson began her career with engineering consulting firm DEI, where she developed and deployed new technologies in commercial nuclear power plants internationally. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
